(1) Please note before beginning your online application that you should have the following documents saved on the computer you are submitting your application from as you will not be able to access your application again once you have submitted your information. Please have a headshot image (jpeg), a copy of your passport photo page or Photo ID (jpeg or PDF) and an assignment letter from your organisation (PDF or jpeg). Files sizes are noted in point 6 on this list

(7) If your registration is successful you will get an registration number and a note on your screen saying 'Your registration was successful'. This will be followed by an auto response mail to your email address with your username, password and registration number. Please save the auto-response email as you will need the information in it for the second phase of the accreditation process.

(11) National news agencies are registered by country, with West Indies' regional news agencies registered under 'West Indies' for easier identification by the applicant. All West Indies media outlets are also registered under the region 'West Indies' rather than by country for easier identification by the applicant.
(12) Incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application
(13) After the applicant has submitted his/her online application, a message will go to his/her Editor or employer requesting him/her to approve the application by clicking the 'Approved' tab. Until the application is approved by the relevant Editor or employer, the ICC will not be able to process the application. As such, all Editors are strongly advised to approve their staffers' applications at their earliest opportunity. At the same time, Editors are requested only to approve applications of staff members who will be in Sri Lanka in a working capacity.

Section Four : Guidelines for Editors
(i) Each Applicant's respective Editor/employer must approve that Applicant's application before it is processed by the ICC. Without such approval, an application will not be considered for processing.
(ii) The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.
(iii) The ICC reserves the right to withdraw the accreditation of any accredited journalist whom it deems is in breach of the Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions for the ICC World Twenty20 Sri Lanka 2012.
(iv) Journalists found recording matches will have their accreditation withdrawn and will be banned from covering any further matches.
(v) Journalists failing to attend more than half the matches after confirming their attendance may drop in the pecking order.
(vi) Journalists not responding to reminder emails from the accreditation manager may drop in the pecking order.
(vii) Journalists not informing the accreditation manager about a change in their plans may jeopardise any applications they may make for accreditation for future ICC events.
(viii) To guarantee a place in the press box, all journalists will require both their Event accreditation and a match day ticket. Event accreditation alone will not entitle a journalist to a seat in the press box.
(ix) Not more than five representatives, excluding photographers, will be accredited from local/national/regional dailies.

Selection of collection point for media accreditation, match day passes along with match day selections will be done in the second phase of the application process between 1 and 15 August. Details of the ICC Media Managers at the relevant venues will be released in due course.
All matches will be ticketed. As stated above, further details on the media ticketing procedure and match day selections will be communicated at a later date.
